I overheard my female neighbor (a grandma), telling male neighbours (a young bachelor) to "get a girlfriend that will be cooking for you".   I have encountered similar situations in time past and the convenient reply to elderly people's sexism is always "They are products of their time". And the truth is, this is just one out of hindered excuses employed to excuse sexism. If a young person had said Sam's, there would have been a 'great excuse to justify that.
